I have been engaged in the general practice of law in Rochester, New
York since February, 1983. I serve clients throughout Central and Western
New York. My practice is largely devoted to civil and criminal litigation.
I have focused my practice on the needs of individuals, families and small
businesses. My practice includes litigation including trials and appeals
for plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases including:
PERSONAL INJURIES automobile accidents, premises liability, slip and
fall, medical and professional malpractice, products liability, wrongful
death, breach of warranty, claims against bars and restaurants who serve
alcohol to intoxicated or under-age persons, claims for workplace accidents
and exposure to hazardous substances, No-Fault claims for lost wages, medical
bills and expenses, civil rights claims including discrimination and false
arrest claims and intentional torts such as assaults.
When the situation calls for it, I can make arrangements to meet you
after normal business hours, at your home or in the hospital.
MATRIMONIAL AND FAMILY LAW divorce, separation, custody, visitation,
child support, spousal support, family offenses, modification and enforcement
of prior orders and agreements. These cases involve contested and uncontested
matters; negotiation and settlement or trials and other court proceedings
where necessary.

COMMERCIAL LITIGATION insurance and business contract litigation.
These cases include claims under various types of insurance policies,
suits by and against contractors, disputes between businesses and disputes
with creditors.
CRIMINAL LAW State and Federal criminal law including: vehicle and
traffic violations, driving while intoxicated, penal law offenses, including
misdemeanors and felonies and RICO based organized crime. These cases involve
plea negotiations, motions to limit charges or evidence, pre-and post-trial
hearings including hearings to test probable cause and suppression hearings
for illegally obtained evidence such as statements, identifications, search
and eavesdrop warrants, through trials and appeals.
ARBITRATION AND DISPUTE SETTLEMENT Litigation in these areas may be
in the courts or in a number of different arbitration or mediation forums
within the framework of the Family Courts, City Courts, Workers Compensation
Board, Department of Motor Vehicles, Labor Department, Alcoholic Beverage
Control Board, Zoning Boards of Appeals, American Arbitration Association
and in various other dispute resolution programs.
OTHER SERVICES As a general practice attorney I also handle all matters
of residential and commercial real estate including: purchases and sales,
leases, land contracts, bank and private financing, title issues, land
use and environmental regulation. I am also available for other services
including: adoption and guardianships, wills and estates, creditor and
consumer rights, and small business formation.
